Companies have to transform digitally if they want to be profitable and survive over time. At Brait, we have implemented many projects for the digitization of accounts payable processes, so we know well how to measure the success of such projects. Next, we tell you about the success story of our client Grifols.

Context

Grifols, a global company in the health sector, has been a pioneer and is one of the great leaders in the plasma derivatives sector worldwide. Founded in Barcelona in 1909, it works to improve the health and well-being of people around the world.

Digital innovation is very important for Grifols. Among its objectives was to promote digital tools that add value to its business model, and under this premise, the company decided to face the challenge of reducing the use of paper in its Accounts Payable process.

Challenge

In 2016 Grifols had:

Numerous problems arose from this situation:

  • Risk of manual errors during the process
  • Low visibility over the backlog
  • Low traceability
  • High cost of training new employees

Given this situation, Grifols decided to take on this challenge in order to resolve these difficulties

Solution

Grifols defined a global model to be deployed in all the countries where it operates. The objective was to find a tool that would allow them to ensure that their invoice management and approval policies were complied with without exception, that would make it easier for their suppliers to send invoices, and that their users could easily adopt it.

The selected tool was OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP Solutions, and they trusted Brait Consulting for its implementation.
