Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions: What’s new for 2023

OpenText has announced a series of enhancements to Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions, the leading OCR solution for document management and process automation in SAP. Improvements have focused on two key areas: usability and automation.

Usability

Among the new features delivered in version 22.4 are usability enhancements, including a workflow option for document validation with a new APP fully integrated into Fiori: Validation Capture Workplace.

Document extraction performance has also been improved and is now up to 75% faster. In addition, users can download traces for problem analysis.

Automation

On the automation side, capabilities have been added for processing documents in Hebrew, supplier and company learning has been improved in documents based on user validations, and a solution has been implemented for the compliance with QR code capture of invoices from Portugal. Integration has been enhanced to support VIM 7.6/20.4 SPS4 and SAP S/4HANA 2022.

Exciting new features are expected for version 23.2, which will be released in the second quarter of the year, including improvements in Machine Learning and automatic document learning and more flexibility for document assignments in Fiori.

Improvements in analytics are also included, with a new dashboard view to check OCR extraction rates per IES extraction profile and an improved extraction analysis report.

In terms of integration, it will be possible to process documents in Arabic, extract addresses with standard field type, achieve higher supplier and company recognition capability by default, and disable line item extraction altogether for a particular extraction profile.

With these enhancements and those planned in the manufacturer’s roadmap, Intelligent Capture for SAP Solutions continues to position itself as the market-leading OCR solution for document management and process automation in SAP.
